Absentee Ballot Application Deadline Extended in New York
Voting absentee in New York? Due to Hurricane Sandy, the New York Board of Elections has extended the deadline to receive absentee ballot applications to Friday, November 2nd. The deadline for IN-PERSON absentee ballot applications remains Monday, November 5th.
In addition, the absentee ballot receipt deadline has also been extended. Ballots must be postmarked no later than Monday, November 5th but they now have until Monday, November 19th to arrive at the Board of Elections. The Board of Elections does not yet know how the November 19th deadline will affect election results, so we encourage you to get your absentee ballot in as soon as possible.
